Learning Center

Beit Tziporah's learning center promotes the city's pupils by developing enrichment programs, providing individualized support studies as needed, developing the "preventative programs" that identify areas of educational difficulty among pupils in diverse frameworks, consolidating backup programs for pupils moving from one educational system to the next level up, and empowering pupils with poor results to prevent them from dropping out of the educational system.
Our educational rationale focuses on believing in each and every student's ability to attain high academic outcomes including a matriculation diploma that opens doors to their continued studies, and promoting them in becoming active citizens in their own right. Beit Tziporah's motto is: unwavering belief in the ability and right of every pupil to succeed in studies and gain a full matriculation diploma. We have taken on the responsibility of creating the conditions to make that happen.
Beit Tziporah's study center hosts some 400 students of Ethiopian origin, from grades 1 to 12, from seven schools in Kiryat Gat. Pupils arrive once the school day is over, and stay until 8 pm, based on the following division:
Youngest school children: Grades 1 to 3, on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
Older primary schoolers: Grades 4 to 6, on Sunday and Tuesday
Higher education: Grades 9 to 12, on Sundays to Fridays
Beit Tziporah runs a total of 16 classrooms: three each for 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade; two each for 4th, 5th and 6th grades, and one excellence class.
